With this in mind, I will be posting a monthly update of what you can look forward to if you live in the SO area of Hampshire, UK.
Sunday 4 March
We will be making Powertex Angels at the beautiful Inspired and Create set in the heart of the New Forest. Details can be found here www.inspiredandcreate.co.uk
Saturday 17 March
I will be back at one of my old stomping grounds, the delightful Little Gem in Shirley, Southampton. One of my most requested Powertex workshops is the A5 Journal cover – so come along and make one yourself.
The workshop takes from 11 am to 2 pm, and booking is either via myself at www.artandmurals.co.uk. Alternatively you can go into the Little Gem shop and pay a £10 deposit with the remainder paid on the day. The Little Gem doesnt have a website, but they do have a facebook page.
If you havent checked them out already they are well worth a little look. It is a gorgeous little co-operative of local traders and I always find something unexpected and lovely when I am mooching about it there.
Sunday 18 March
I am back at Inspired and Create making Powertex Sea Horse Plaques. When I posted a photo of Sydney the Sea Horse on social media he attracted a lot of interest and I am absolutely certain that everyone who comes will love their own unique Sydney that they take home with them.
Saturday 24 March
I will be at a venue that is new to me. Board in the City in Southampton. Although the venue is new to me, the owner is an old colleague from my days as an inclusion worker in schools and is doing absolutely amazing things with her CIC company that she has set up. I will be there doing another Angel workshop and details of this can be found on www.artandmurals.co.uk.
Sunday 25 March
I will be doing a short one hour journal workshop as a taster session at Bella Crafts in Fair Oak Eastleigh. Details of this can be found at www.bellacrafts.co.uk
I will be finishing off the month by celebrating Easter at the always popular Woodland Crafts event at Fort Purbrook. I will be working in partnership with a new Powertex tutor who will be covering the Portsmouth area. We are still debating what workshop we will do, but at the moment dragon eyes is the front runner.
It will be lovely to see customers both old and new at any of the above workshops. And don’t forget, everyone who comes along will be given a loyalty card (or get their existing one stamped). Once you get five stamps on your loyalty card you will receive one of these mega cute mini powertex starter kits.
Have a great March everyone, and I really look forward to seeing you very soon.
